In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
